In the central coast area of California there is a virtual sea of grapes which climb the hills to underline the sage and ochre mountains with green. The more I visit these magnificent settings, the more I discover about the individual personality of each location. My husband, Bill Cates and his partner, Jeff Fink have Tantara Winery on the Bien Nacido Ranch near Santa Maria. Many of my vineyard paintings are done there. My paintings are often on display at the winery and can be seen there by appointment.
